Winter salad recipes

Salads are the essential complement to any diet. Fresh vegetables are rich in minerals and vitamins that provide the body with important nutrients to perform core functions, keep it strong and, above all, very healthy and cheerful. These salads are very right this time.

Waldorf Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. of cream
  • 2 tbsp. of mayonnaise
  • Brown sugar and sea salt to taste
  • 1 / 2 lemon, juice
  • Raisins to taste
  • 3 diced red apples, unpeeled
  • 2 green apples, unpeeled and diced
  • 2 cups of diced celery
  • 200 grs. Of chopped walnuts

Preparation

  1. Join the mayonnaise, cream, sugar and salt (a salad is slightly sweet, not salty) and the juice of half a lemon.
  2. Add apples, celery, raisins and nuts.
  3. Refrigerate.

Apple Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of cream
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • Oil to taste
  • Sugar Salt
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • Raisins to taste
  • 5 red apples, diced
  • 2 cups of diced celery
  • 200 grs. of chopped walnuts

Preparation

  1. Keep the apples in lemon water.
  2. Mix cream, mayonnaise, sugar and salt.
  3. Drain the apples and place them with the celery.
  4. Just before serving, add sliced apples and raisins, walnuts and cream mixture.
  5. And is ready!

Salmon Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 Lettuce
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 ripe tomato, sweet but tough, seeded.
  • 50 grs. Of smoked salmon cut into small strips and some larger pieces of adornment over
  • A little caviar for garnish
  • olive oil lemon, salt and pepper.

Preparation

  1. Cut finely lettuce, every leaf in half and then into thin slices. Also the apple into small cubes, be more generous with the tomato, the tomato into very small pieces (tiny), trying to do consistent cubes. Cut salmon in small strips (the size of lettuce) can take advantage of other smoked if available in the kitchen.
  2. Mix gently base so you can leave whole ingredients. Top with the salad for garnish some larger pieces of salmon, caviar and some distribute it.
  3. Finally, add lemon, oil, salt and pepper.

Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of tuna in water drained
  • ½ cup of chopped celery
  • ½ cup of chopped red bell pepper
  • ¼ cup of nonfat yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons of minced onion
  • 4 teaspoons of lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons of basil
  • 2 teaspoons of thyme

Preparation

Combine all ingredients. Mix well and enjoy the salad.

Potato and vegetarian sausage salad

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of water
  • 3 large potatoes evenly
  • 2 teaspoons of salt

For the vinaigrette:

  • 2 / 3 cup of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of mustard
  • 1 / 3 cup of cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of parsley, chopped and disinfected
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper

For the sausages:

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 3 slices of turkey sausage
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper

Special Utensils:

  • Cutters in a star or flower

Procedure

  1. Heat water and when boiling put the potatoes with skin, add salt and cook.
  2. Cut into slices an inch thick. Place in a bowl with cold water. Cut each slice with the cutter of your choice and return potatoes to bowl.
  3. For the vinaigrette: Mix all ingredients well and reserve.
  4. For the sausages: Heat the oil, sauté the sausage and add freshly ground black pepper and let cool.
  5. Mix the potatoes with the vinaigrette; include sausages and pepper sprinkled on top. The remaining cuts can be used to make the croquettes, potato pancakes or mashed.

    Delicious recipes, I actually don?t like the apple or other fruits in the salads, I don?t know why I just don?t like it, but well I?m interested in the last recipe, it looks a little bit hard to prepare but really good to surprise some guests, so I?m going to try it the next dinner I have

    These recipes sound absolutely fantastic! I’m so glad I found this website!! And even though these technically are supposed to be “winter” salads, I think they’d do really well for any time of the year. In fact, I don’t really like eating salads in teh winter because it’s so cold where I live, that warm soups are a valuable way of staying warm.
