The World Health Organization (WHO) defines Health as “the condition of every living being that enjoys absolute wellbeing both physically and mentally and socially” therefore does not refer only to the absence of the disease or of affections, but all other aspects that involve the well-being of the person in all areas.

Healthy habits

For a good health the lifestyle, that is to say the habits, feeding, customs and activities that a person realizes, influence so that this is good or bad. If we have a balanced diet and practice physical activity or sport on a regular basis, we have a better chance of having good health. On the contrary, if our eating habits are to eat and drink excessively, smoking, consuming alcoholic beverages, excess fats and sugars, and resting little, we are more prone to the risk of suffering diseases that could be avoided, such as cardiovascular diseases.

Health can be analyzed from two points of view, physical health and mental health, which have a close relationship. To maintain good physical health, it is recommended to do sport or physical activity regularly and have a balanced and healthy diet, with a wide variety of nutrients. Among these nutrients we have proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins and minerals, as well as healthy fats. The diets that are made should always be nutritious and balanced, without the intake of alcohol, tobacco and drugs.

Health and Physical Activity

Performing a sport or physical activity is very important, there are many sports disciplines for all tastes and preferences that contribute to maintaining a healthy and fit body, as well as a balanced and harmonious state of mind. As examples, the practice of swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates, dance therapy, a team sport or simply walking are ideal.

Mental health is another vital aspect of good health, and it refers to the emotional and psychological factors that affect people, as well as their attitudes, aptitudes and development within their family and community, solving the problems that arise in your daily life.

Medicine allows obtaining the necessary knowledge to help prevent diseases and contribute to the prevention of them, for the well-being of the human being, relying on other branches, these have had great advances in recent years.
