What will happen in Biocultura?
Biocultura comes from the hand of the spring flowers and pollen, and hope. Unfortunately, the 2007 is the year that climate change has become a reality for all (it was already there, but we had looked the other way. Now we cannot do that).
We need Mr. Al Gore to tell us: what we have here in this tropicalization of our climate, our land is dry and our fields at this temperature does not want to lose in the floods and hurricanes … To remind us of the volcanoes with their anger… And we cannot postpone change any longer. A little change in our consumption habits and being more or less as before is not enough. And what Mr Bush is beginning to develop is still more dread: clearing millions of hectares of rainforest to produce biofuel and ethanol. Tropical forests regulate the global climate and water cycle. Ifweu end up with what remains of them, we accelerate global warming with disastrous consequences for life and especially to human life. Actually, human beings have or may have, especially the modern human being, an infinite capacity for self-destruction.
In Biocultura, we lead by example… Hundreds of companies show their work, thousands of people come to share, to show to learn… and the number of them grows and grows. As our children grow up too… they come this year again yo MamaTerra festival with many activities for children.
So… welcome to this new call, rather than a fair use, the public has become an oasis where we can still oxygenate of joy and zest for life.
