Delicious recipes with Avocado

The avocado is also called "butter fruit" for its consistency. This tropical fruit has many nutritional properties, contains minerals, vitamins, fatty acids, amino acids, in addition to healing properties. It contains a lot of vitamin E, which serves to protect and prevent cardiovascular disease.

Avocado Soup

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 small avocados
  • 50 ounces of chicken broth or vegetable concentrate
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of cream
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Squeeze the half lemon. Open boning and peel avocados, cut into pieces and immediately sprinkle with lemon juice.
  2. Cut avocado flesh into a mash, with the aid of an electrical appliance or vegetable mill. Add the broth, season with salt and pepper.
  3. If serving hot soup, pour it into a saucepan and heat over low heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour hot or cold soup in a tureen, add the fresh cream and correct the seasoning.
  5. You can garnish the soup with small cubes of fried bread, fresh herbs or chopped watercress.

Guacamole

(traditional Mexican sauce or dressing)

The guacamole in Mexico is used to accompany dishes such as tacos, tostadas, breads and many other dishes.

Ingredients

  • 3 guacamoles
  • The juice of three lemons
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • A sprig of parsley finely chopped.
  • Shredded cheese, preferably panela.

Procedure

  1. Peel and pit the avocados and bathe with lemon juice.
  2. Mix well all ingredients in a saucepan and add salt to taste.
  3. When it is like a kind of mash, put up some shredded cheese and parsley for garnish.
  4. Set in the middle of the table for people to serve the taste (as if sauce)

Avocado and spinach soup

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of spinach
  • 30 grams of butter
  • Vegetable broth
  • 2 small avocados
  • 15 ounces of cream
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Remove the tough stems from the spinach, wash the leaves, dry and chop.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the spinach and let it cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and blend with the vegetable broth to a puree.
  4. Pour this into a saucepan and place over low heat.
  5. During this time, peel the avocados and pit. Press the pulp with a fork and mix with the cream.
  6. When the soup is hot, add the mashed avocado. Stir and remove from heat immediately.
  7. Pour into a tureen and serve.

Avocado Schnitzel

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 thin slices of beef or vegetarian meat equivalent.
  • The juice of one lemon
  • 1-2 eggs
  • 1 cup of dry bread crumbs
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 thick slices of Emmental cheese
  • 2 avocados, sliced

Preparation

  1. With a brush smear the veal with lemon juice on both sides
  2. Within the beef, put the beaten eggs and bread crumbs
  3. Melt butter and cook the veal on both sides, and about 3 minutes or until golden brown look like
  4. Put the sliced avocado on each calf, top with sliced cheese and roast it until melted, (you can direct heat or over). Alternatively, place in a pan covered and heat until the cheese melts and avocados are hot
  5. Garnish with slices of lemon and a leafy herb (green) or red pepper

Noodles with Avocado

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of fresh noodles: white, red and green
  • 4 small avocados
  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • 80 grams of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of fresh basil
  • 4 tablespoons of grated Parmesan
  • Oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Bring to a boil in a large saucepan of salted water, add a few drops of oil and pasta. Let them cook for 2-3 minutes after the water begins to boil.
  2. During this time, peel the garlic and shred it, Melt the butter in another pan and add the garlic, stirring for 2 minutes over low heat
  3. Peel avocados, pit and cut into squares.
  4. When pasta are cooked drain them and add them to the butter, also diced avocado and basil, add pepper and stir gently, always a gentle heat until steaming hot pasta.
  5. Pour the contents of the pan into a deep serving dish sprinkle of Parmesan and serve.
  6. Tip: noodles colors harmonize well with the avocado.

    I have heard that the avocado is a lot of health to the skin and the body in general because of the content of oils in it, and well it is a marvelous fruit, delicious and very versatile, I wish it would not be so expensive, as I would love to consume more of this product

    I LOVE avocados, and guacamole is my absolute favorite. We actually make a lot of guacamole, but this recipe looks a little different than the one we were using, so we’ll try this one out for a little spice in our lives! Thanks so much for the recipes!
