Valentine’s Day, ideas to share with your partner

Published: 02/13/2013 - Updated: 02/07/2018

In many parts of the world on February 14, Valentine's Day is celebrated, a day for love and friendship. Love is a strong feeling that takes place in different forms; there is brotherly love, parental love, and romantic love.

Physical changes

When you are in love, your body undergoes physical changes:

  • Pleasure centers are activated.
  • It releases endorphins, a hormone that reduces stress.
  • It increases energy.
  • It strengthens the immune system, promoting digestion and activating circulation.
  • In women, estrogen production is active, renewing collagen and elastin fibers in the skin.
  • In men, testosterone triggers the production, which increases the libido or sexual desire.
  • A passionate kiss can burn up to 13 calories, and set in motion 30 muscles of the face, definitely an enjoyable task.

For this and more, falling in love and falling in love again with our partner are worth.

A day for romance

If you have a couple, do not miss this opportunity to remind how much you care for him/her on this date. It is true that it is important to maintain the love in the whole year and not just one day, but he or she will appreciate that you have a detail on this date.

Be creative

Often, a creative detail beats an expensive gift. Pay attention to the clues your partner gives you, listen, so you can know what he/she likes, and you will find the most appropriate gift to surprise.

Getaway

Valentine's Day can also be an opportunity to take a day and get away; like sharing the day in a spa with your couple. Maybe it's an unusual idea, but it will be not only relaxing, for couples who have a lot of stress, it will be fun too. Can you imagine the two enjoying a pedicure? Or, face to face with a mask? If you just want to take this day to have fun and laugh, be sure to consider this option.

Romantic evening

If you've opted for offering your partner a romantic evening, keep in mind the following:

For dinner, we recommend you choose easily digested foods, some people choose aphrodisiac foods, which are credited with raising the property of libido. Some of these foods are almonds, strawberries, ginger, honey and chocolate, among others.

Think of using candles, the romantic and warm elegance of a table lit by candlelight is ideal for an evening with your partner. The dim light of candles has relaxation effects in humans.

After dinner, you can think about sharing a chocolate or some other snack that can be eaten with the fingers, this way you will awaken the sense of touch.

If you are the guest at a dinner, dress yourself with security and don’t forget to be yourself. Remember that the person that is preparing dinner makes an effort to offer you a nice touch, correspond, looking good for the occasion.

Feel the Love

If you are in love or not, do not deprive yourself of all those emotions, our body reacts positively to this feeling, and is an excellent remedy for depression and apathy. A dating and a relationship is based on trust and interest in meeting someone to share unforgettable magical moments, some can be unpleasant experiences, however, love helps us to be happy people. Live and experience it, there's no reason to not do it.

I was searching for some ideas to make this Valentine?s Day just perfect for my girl and I was thinking on a getaway to the beach, I think that this idea is pretty romantic and not very expensive since you can spend the day walking on the sand and seeing the wonderful sea. Maybe you should include this idea as well!
