The Ministry will be present at Biofach 2007

Spain has a flag of some 1350 m2 and will include the participation of authorities and control bodies of 14 autonomous communities and 130 companies specializing in organic agriculture.

There are tastings offered by the CCAE, Thursday 15th, CA Catalonia on Friday 16th and the C.A. Galicia, on Saturday 18th.

Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA), will be represented at the 18th International Exhibition of Ecological Production BIOFACH 2007, held in Nuremberg (Germany), February 15th to 18th 2007. This fair is the most important for the organic sector in Europe.

Spain has a flag of some 1350 m2 and will include the participation of authorities and control bodies of 14 regional governments and 130 companies in organic products. The companies come with their best products and raw materials of ecological security in order to place them in the main European market buyer, who is quoted in this exhibition.

Also, with the Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Spain (CCAE), there are 12 and 20 cooperatives represented with samples of their products.

According to the organization of BioFach 2007, this edition will have 2200 exhibitors, of which 189 belong to Spanish companies, and are expected at about 37,000 visitors.

Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has been witnessing, without interruption for several years at this fair, which is a world leader in organic agriculture, to show their support for producers, processors and marketers in this sector.

There are scheduled as parallel activities, tastings offered to the visiting public by the autonomous communities of Catalonia (Friday February 16th) and Galicia (Saturday February 17th) as well as the Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Spain (Thursday February 15th).

    Those fairs are very good because they not only have the presentation of the foods you already know of your country, but from all the other countries that are doing the same or different things but always aiming to the wellness of the people and the producers, thank god for those organization

    It’s really great to see that the Spanish government has been so deeply invovled in the development of organic agriculture and the betterment of this process. I would really like to take part in one of these organizations and learn how to bring these practices to the US
