The ecological and biodiversity Food Awards 2007 are called

Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Environment announces the first edition of "Awards 2007 to organic food and biodiversity". Together with this partner in organizing this event, the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the Spanish Society of Organic Agriculture, SEAE.

Through these awards is intended to encourage and recognize the efforts of various actors in the sector of organic food made in defense of this agrofood model.

Thus, the organizers and partners, through the convening of this event, link their goals and priorities for food and conservation of biodiversity to defend a model of the system. A model that combines the production of quality food and the conservation of natural resources such as water, soil, seeds and breeds, domestic and wildlife, landscape and rural culture.

Oooh how fun!!! I think biodiversity is SOO interesting! That’s so great that they have nominations and competitions like this, it really is a good way to get the community involved and to open peoples’ eyes about new ways of thinking about how we produce our food.
