Symposium on Organic Production and Agroecology for Farming Family

The 16th and October 17th, 2008 will be held at the Department of Tunuyan, Mendoza, the "Day of Organic Production and Agroecology for Farming Family."

Targeted at farmers and the general public. Its goal is to create a space for exchanging experiences and knowledge about the organic production and marketing, under one approach to environmental and social sustainability. It also seeks to promote a permanent space for reflection and work on the subject.

References and producer organizations across the country will participate.  Some of them are Sarandon Santiago (La Plata); Demo Claudio (Rio Cuarto); Gonzalo Roca (Argentina-President of Organic Movement MAPO) Hugo Riquelme (INTA), Pedro Cerviño (Undersecretary for Rural Development) and Producers of the Green Fair and Bioferia Mar del Plata Mendoza, among others.

It was jointly organized by the Secretariat for Family Agriculture and Rural Development (SAGPyA), National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA); ProMendoza Foundation; 9-015 IES Valle de Uco (DGE) and the Institute of Development Rural (IDR) from Mendoza.
