Recipes with Oatmeal and Raisins

Oats and raisins are great companions for many dishes. If we put the nutritional properties of the two, we get highly nutritious food: oatmeal has high energetic qualities , is rich in proteins of high biological value, contains carbohydrates, fat lot of nutritious vegetables and a large number of vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

Oats contains six of the eight amino acids essential for the correct synthesis of proteins in addition to sodium , potassium, calcium , phosphorus, magnesium , iron, copper , zinc, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6 and vitamin E. On the other hand, the raisins are good source of potassium and plenty of iron.

Oatmeal and raisin cookies

Ingredients

  • 125 grams of butter
  • brown sugar 1 cup ( 200 grams )
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour ( 120 grams )
  • 1 and 1/4 cup of rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips .

Procedure

  1. Beat butter until creamy , then add the brown sugar , eggs , milk and vanilla.
  2. Add flour , baking powder , baking powder and cinnamon previously sifted , add the oats and mix well. Lastly adding chocolate drops.

Ingredients

  2. Empty into a greased and floured mold , filling it halfway.
  3. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes at 300 º C.
  4. Poke a bread knife to see if it was baked . If it comes out clean remove from oven.

Oat, pear and raisins cubes

Ingredients

  • 500 g of Pears
  • 10 tbsp of Oats
  • Brown sugar 12 tbsp
  • Cinnamon 1 tsp
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Almonds 1/2 cup
  • Raisins , ¼ cup
  • 2 eggs

Procedure

  1. Peel the pears and grate finely.
  2. Mix with 4 tablespoons of oatmeal and half the sugar , cinnamon and grated lemon peel .
  3. Add the chopped almonds and raisins .
  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs and mix with 6 tablespoons of oats and 6 tablespoons of sugar cane .
  5. Brush with oil baking dish , cover with wax paper and pour the first preparation .
  6. Bake at moderate temperature (180 ° C ) for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cut into squares .
  7. Serve when cold .

Oats, chocolate and raisins sweets

Ingredients

  • 60 gr. of Butter
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa
  • 400 gr. of brown sugar
  • 125 cc . of Soymilk
  • 2 cups of rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons of raisins
  • 1/2 cup of chopped chocolate

Preparation

  1. Put the butter , milk , cocoa and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Always Carry low heat until melted mixing everything well.
  3. Boil for one minute and remove from heat.
  4. Add to this preparation 2 cups of rolled oats, raisins and chocolate chips .
  5. Mix together and pour into a mold previously buttered.
  6. Take to the fridge for half an hour and then cut into circles or squares .
  7. Serve cold .

Oat Meatballs with sweet touch

Ingredients

  • fine oatmeal, 2 cups placed before soaking in water.
  • 1/2 cup of bread also is soaked and shredded .
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped walnuts .
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced .
  • 2 tablespoons of raisins
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.
  • 2 tablespoons of grated cheese .
  • 3 onions chopped and sautéed in olive oil .
  • 1 pinch of ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano
  • 2 eggs
  • breadcrumbs

Preparation

  1. Chop all the dry ingredients you need, separately.
  2. Put the onions with the oil, chop and sauté for two minutes.
  3. Mix all ingredients , place the bread crumbs at the last minute .
  4. Form meatballs and bake at medium heat until golden .
  5. Serve with a salad of lettuce and carrot.

    The oats are one of my favorite ingredients and they are pretty nice when preparing cookies, I mean just the normal oat cookies are pretty delicious and help your stomach to digest food better, this is helpful when you have problems or gases and even though I do not like the raisins, I could them too

    I love oatmeal, but generally I don’ really like raisins, but that meatball with a sweet touch recipe looks amazing. I can’t believe I’ve never seen a recipe like that before!!! Even tamales with raisins are amazing…raisins do go well with grains.
