Basically an environmental problem is an alteration in nature that causes an imbalance in the environment, affecting it in a negative way.
When the world population was not so big and the technology was not as developed, the impact on the environment was only local and reversible. Currently, humanity demands an intensive use of natural resources, causing the deterioration of ecosystems. This impact is very measurable when we see the clearing of forests, forest fires, pollution of rivers and especially the air, the systematic destruction of nature through the construction of houses and the emission of gases, and as a consequence the extinction of flora and fauna, and climate change.
Renewable energy
All this human action needs energy, for which the natural energy reserves of the earth, such as oil, are being depleted. An alternative for the production of energy, basic to all human activity are renewable energies.
Renewable energies are an alternative to produce energy that protects the environment. These are available on the planet in unlimited quantities and are renewable. Among them we have the following:
Hydraulic energy: It is produced with water, hydroelectric plants in dams use water that is retained in reservoirs. By means of hydraulic turbines they transmit the energy to an alternator who transforms it into electrical energy.
Wind energy: It is the energy produced by the wind, taking advantage of the air currents that are transformed into electricity.
Solar energy: This energy is obtained from electromagnetic radiation and its use in Europe has become very popular.
Geothermal energy: It is a not so well known renewable energy source that is stored under the earth’s surface linked to volcanoes and thermal waters.
