New Quality Control Systems for food
MAP presents to CCAA the control systems of food quality. With the approval of these three systems, the multi-year Plan of Integrated Control in MAP-CCAA that provides to the Community is complete.
The Sector Conference on Agriculture and Rural Development, at its meeting here today, has adopted the System of Quality and Control for Commercial Food, Control System for Differentiated Quality of food products linked to non-wine origin, geographical and traditional specialties guaranteed and the control system of organic production. Earlier in the previous Sector Conference, had approved the systems referred to primary production.
With systems approved today, general rules for the conduct of official inspections appeared in the field of food quality, both commercial and distinct, and organic agriculture. For effective monitoring, each Member State should prepare a single MOP Integrated Control.
System of Control and Quality for Commercial Food contains the description of the control system working with the autonomic control of the quality and protection against fraud: scope, objectives, legal basis, development of control system of penalties, coordination and cooperation.
Furthermore, the System of Quality Control for Differentiated non-wine related food products to geographical origin and traditional specialties guaranteed describes the common elements for the control exercised by the competent authorities, to oversee the verification of compliance with the requirements of the specifications for products monopolized by designations of origin and indications of origin and indications of origin and traditional specialties guaranteed.
Like its predecessors, the System Control of organic agriculture incorporates aspects of structure and control of this production method, in order to verify compliance with the requirements of the regulation framework of the production organic agriculture and the specific organic feed and seed.
With the approval of these three systems, multi-year Plan of Integrated Control in MAP-CCAA which Regulation (EC) 882/2004 is complete.
