International course of specialization in rural development

It was experienced on policies, tools, organization, methodologies and intervention strategies for rural development, made field visits to the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in collaboration with the Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) has organized an international course of specialization in Rural Development, which will be held from October 16th to November 3rd at the National Training Center of San Fernando de Henares.
This course is particularly aimed at technicians of Public Administration and other institutions in Brazil, Ecuador and Venezuela, responsible for promoting and supporting rural development, and aims to compare experiences on policies, tools, organization strategies and methodologies for rural development.
This will address, among other matters, environmental measures, the rural culture and biodiversity, indigenous livestock in Mediterranean ecosystems, organic production in Andalusia, rural development by the EAFRD modernization of farms and cooperative integration.
The program also includes other aspects of rural development as the rationalization of irrigation associations, tourism in the countryside, the Local Action Groups, the territorial mark of quality, geographic information systems, Rural Development in mountain areas and the performance models of development actors as promoters of change in rural society.
The course is supplemented by several visits to development projects within the Leader and PRODER in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.
