Hair has been a concern for women since ancient times, however, today we have several methods to get rid of it through hair removal.

You’ve already lost weight, and you’re ready to show off your new figure? Congratulations! Don’t forget to consider the following tips to look beautiful in that new dress.

Next we will see what laser hair removal, waxing and other types of classic hair removal are as well as the advantages of removing hair with each of these hair removal methods.

The classic shave

Shaving is the simplest, fastest and most economical method of removing hair. Shaving became popular during World War II, when nylon stockings were scarce and bare legs became a trend.

Using a razor and shaving cream is usually painless ( unless you cut yourself ), and is very quick to perform. This method goes best on legs and armpits, it is not recommended for women for chin, eyebrows or upper lip.

Disadvantages: It is not a long lasting method, as it cuts the hair, which grows back in a period of three days or even less.

Waxing

Waxing is the application of a sticky substance to the skin, which adheres to the hair and a cloth is used to remove it, usually in the opposite direction of hair growth. It works well on all parts of the body. Because the hair is removed from the root it takes longer to grow.

Disadvantages of waxing: It’s a painful method of hair removal, especially the first time, and cleaning your legs after use can be a bit of a chore.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is not for everyone. The laser works best on dark hair and light skin. Lasers that work on blond hair are being developed today, but have not yet been perfected. It is a more durable procedure, although it does not guarantee the permanent absence of hair. It can be slightly painful but not as painful as waxing.

Disadvantages: It is a more expensive method, and also requires several spaced out sessions to achieve the desired results.

Waxing with threading

It is a method of hair removal used for many years in the Middle East and India, is used mainly to shape the eyebrows, or on the lip or chin. It consists in using cotton or silk thread, to remove the hair, you can do it with some practice or go to a specialist. It is usually inexpensive.

Disadvantages: It can be a little painful, but it is quick. It is not a permanent method.

Electrolysis

Electrolysis is the safest form of hair removal. It consists of inserting a sterile needle into each hair follicle and using a low-level electrical current to kill the follicle. Its results are guaranteed. It is recommended, for small areas, such as areas where facial hair appears and this method should be carried out by a specialist.

Disadvantages: The pain is greater than that perceived with the laser, and is a somewhat expensive procedure, but its biggest disadvantage is that it is tedious, and may require several sessions to achieve the desired results.
