Exfoliate your skin once a week

Published: 07/16/2012 - Updated: 05/26/2016

To keep your skin or other body part without pimples, blackheads or spots you need to take the time to exfoliate your skin, even once a week.

Maybe you do not make this practice regularly and have you noticed that your skin lacks of moisture freshness and instead looks dim and dull. Today we will teach you step by step how to do a deep cleaning and even we’ll give you a recipe for an exfoliating cream so you can do from the comfort of your home.

Remember that after 25 years, the skin loses the ability to remove old cells and they remain stuck, clogging the pores, allowing impurities to accumulate and preventing oxygenation, so you must help your skin to remove dead cells that are on the surface to expose the finer and translucent skin under.

Getting Started

The first step to exfoliate is to have a sponge or with the help of the hand, but with the first form is better. You must purchase a different exfoliating cream for your body than for your face. There are many at the market, the ideal is to choose the best suited for your skin.
If you want some advice, the exfoliating cream that works the best is the one that has honey bee because it gives softness and moisture to the skin, vitamin C keeps you young. Finally, jojoba beads to have maximum results and keep skin smooth and incredibly fresh.

Don't exfoliate everything

No need to exfoliate your whole body, there are very delicate areas like the neck and chest, however there are others where exfoliating should be constant: rough and dry areas like elbows, knees and ankles require much attention.

Beginning

If you already have everything ready, remember that your skin should be wet:
Apply the cream and spread across your face with movements up and down in a circle, it is best to start from the chin, then go for the cheeks, nose, and then to the forehead. Do not do this too strong, you can redden and irritate your skin.

At the end of the massage, wash your face as usual, best with cold water. Then take advantage and apply a moisturizer, because your pores are completely clean.
Proceed doing the same motion to exfoliate your whole body; it is better to use a sponge.

Home exfoliating cream

If you prefer to make yourself your own exfoliating cream using natural products you can buy at the market, here are the recipes:

With sugar

Mix 3 tablespoons of sugar with a few drops of oil to do a creamy rough and paste.

With yogurt

Mix 3 tablespoons of sugar with half a pot of plain yogurt, better if it's natural.

Flour

Mixing 3 tablespoons of cornstarch with oil to form a paste.

Only honey

Use lumpy honey

There are many exfoliating creams in the market but aren´t always good for your skin, especially if it is dry. I think the best option is to use natural ingredients in everything you want to do with your body, since it is natural as well. Those recipes look interesting, of course I?m going to try them and see the results.

I actually exfoliate my skin witha gentle exfoliator about every other day, and my skin has never looked better! I also started using a moisturizer, and surprisingly enough, it actually took my acne away! I’m 28 and just now learning how to control my acne. The worst it’s ever been was when I was taking pharmaceuticals.
