Cristina Narbona delivers the II Ecogourmet Awards for Organic Food

The Environment Minister, Cristina Narbona, delivered the last day May 10th the second edition of "Ecogourmets Awards to the organic food," which are granted under the XX International Chamber of Gourmet Clubs. This year the awards have been expanded to 12 patterns, six of them with a budget of 3,000 euros. In this way, it has sought to promote knowledge and development of organic food, especially in the Spanish market.

Bodegas Robles (Montilla. Córdoba) has been awarded as the best production company in the Spanish market. The best export company has been Herbes Molí. Génave Sierra (Jaén) has received the award for the cooperative company of organic food. The best organic farmer has been a principal Vicent Martí and organic farmer that highlights was Miquel Pujols. The most important journalistic work published in any media on organic food has been a shared award with: "The growing ecosystem that mimics" The Journal of the World by Tana Oshima and the magazine "Growing Local" in the Seed Network. Besides, the prizes have been delivered without funding for the best big company, which has fallen on Eroski (Elorrio. Vizcaya), the most prominent in research and technological innovation has been to Caviar Riofrío (Granada). The award for most outstanding shop specializing in organic food has been Ecocentro (Madrid). It is also recognized the work to the best partnership of consumers of organic food, Tierra Llana (Albacete), and the regulatory board or agency certification and control that operates most prominent in Spain CAAE Association (Sevilla). Finally, the person, association or public or private entity that has been most prominent in the support for organic food has been the Council of Zamora.
