Almassera creates a Municipal company of organic products

Almàssera City Council has created a municipal company in charge of producing and trading agricultural products. The firm will integrate all of the people and farmers sell their products in the main stop of the municipal market. The initiative is supported by the Consell Agrari.
Almàssera City Council has become a place for nature and the environment and created a municipal company to produce and market organic products.
The capital city anonymous society will be entirely responsible for producing and carrying out all activities necessary to assemble a chain of production and packaging of products. In addition, it must also handle marketing.
Organic products are produced by the majority of farmers in the municipality, which are organically grown, and people have already shown their interest in participating in the initiative.
Also products will be purchased from the Horta Museum, opened a couple of years ago in Almàssera, and in addition to the different events that take place inside it has grown at a garden dedicated to the practice.
New project does not close its door to anyone, because it will also benefit farmers who are not in the municipality. These providers will gain a source where no other crops are produced locally, such as honey, milk or meat.
Sale in the municipal market
Products purchased by the company are sold in the primary market for municipal Almàssera. The post will be acquired soon by the City.
As the mayor of the municipality, Enric Montañana, says, "project is having a very good reception. Farmers are very happy with the initiative because they can sell their crops without the intermediaries and earn more money, unless the products are too expensive. "
