Published: 07/24/2006 - Updated: 08/14/2019

The purpose of this Convention is to promote coordination between scientists, food industry and population as well as facilitating the exchange of information and views between them and the Administration.

In this sense, we carried out joint actions for development, outreach and counseling on diet and nutrition.

Among the main priorities to develop, to be subscribed by specific agreements or other collaborative models, highlights the increasing knowledge that consumers have in the aspects of nutrition and food and provide greater Market transparency and adequate information to operators and consumers.

Also, we will seek to expand and enhance information about the behavior of food consumption in all areas and improve competitiveness of industry and agri-food products.

Furthermore, this Convention also includes the publication of studies related to energy production, industry, trade and food consumption, particularly those related to nutrition.

Another line is to continue to sensitize the agri-food sector and society in terms of diet and wellness, as well as the development of trade relations, food quality, food promotion, traceability, labeling, regulatory and food control.

Moreover, promotion campaigns will be conducted with the goal of moving consumers on various aspects of nutrition and food fairs and congresses and national nutrition and feeding.
