Being vegetarian means not only stopping eating animal flesh, but living a routine and habits that promote health as well as body , mental harmony , emotional beauty and creativity. A vegetarian child is not a skinny and lifeless child as some might think , a child truly vegetarian is one who enjoys food education , emotional and mental that leads him to be a child full of life, strength and creativity, in addition to full physical development and very healthy.

If you have a vegetarian child or you intend to encourage him to eat this food, it is necessary that you try to combine many different foods, walnuts , almonds, prunes, soy milk , amaranth and the bread should not miss in the diet. Here we give you some fun and tasty recipes that certainly your kid will love.

Hawaiian Ham

Ingredients

  • For 4 people
  • 4 thick slices of vegetarian ham
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • Two orange juice
  • 40 g of butter
  • White rice to accompany

Preparation

  1. Put in a bowl and wipe vegetarian ham in wholemeal flour . Toss slices nicely .
  2. In a pan, put 3 tablespoons of melted butter and orange .
  3. Boil until butter is melted.
  4. Insert a slice of ham and fry in orange juice .
  5. Repeat this with the following slices .
  6. Once they are sautéed, remove them .
  7. Serve with white rice and orange sauce accordingly.

Sausages in pineapple sauce

Ingredients

  1. 2-3 packs of 400 grams of vegetarian sausages.
  2. 1 tablespoon of mustard
  3. 1/2 cup of pineapple juice
  4. 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce ( ketchup )
  5. 2 tablespoons of olive oil

Preparation

  1. Slice the sausage lengthwise.
  2. Mix pineapple juice , mustard, ketchup and oil in a bowl.
  3. Stir in sausage and let the sauce soak 5 minutes.
  4. Add the sausages in a pan and cook over medium heat about 15 minutes.
  5. Once ready, serve them accompanied by a salad of cabbage or mashed potatoes .

Spinach cannelloni

Serves : 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo of spinach
  • 5 slices of vegetarian ham
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 cup of soy milk
  • 2 tablespoons of grated cheese
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté the flour without allowing it to color .
  2. Drizzle with hot milk and cook stirring continuously over the fire until a white sauce, season with some salt .
  3. Clean the spinach, wash and cook steamed .
  4. When ready, drain them so that there is not a drop of water, chop and mix with 2-3 tablespoons of the bechamel.
  5. Spread the slices of ham on a table, spread the creamed spinach on the slices and then fold the ham so that the remaining spinach is inside.
  6. Place them on plates with the rest of the bechamel .
  7. Sprinkle with grated cheese and grill.
  8. Serve immediately .

Cauliflower and sausage salad

Ingredients

  • 6 vegetarian sausages .
  • 1 small cauliflower
  • Half a cup of olive oil
  • Juice of two lemons
  • Half onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Peppermint

Preparation

  1. Clean cauliflower, wash, cut into florets and remove tough stems .
  2. Place in a bowl and cook it steamed with a little olive oil and salt.
  3. Cut the sausage into slices
  4. Wash the mint and chop very finely with the onion
  5. Place the cauliflower and sausage on a plate, add the mint , onion , olive oil , lemons and salt to taste.
  6. Stir well.
  7. Serve cold.

Vegetarian ham sushi

Serves : 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1 package of vegetarian ham
  • 1 cup of Rice for Sushi ( 150 gr )
  • 1 glass of wine vinegar
  • Chives
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 6 leaves of nori seaweed ( yaki sushi nori)
  • Avocado
  • Red pepper
  • A teaspoon of brown sugar
  • trout or salmon roe
  • Wasabi
  • Ginger ( optional)

Procedure

  1. Dissolve the sugar and salt in the vinegar.
  2. Wash the rice several times, cook according to manufacturer's instructions, pour it into a bowl and pour on the vinegar and mix with hot spatula being careful not to break the grains.
  3. Moisten with hand 1 nori leaf, place it on the mat to make sushi and half cover with a tight layer of rice , seaweed , leaving the rest free .
  4. Put in the center a bit of vegetarian ham and wrap like a cigarette.
  5. Paste the edge of seaweed with a pinch of crushed rice , is tight
  6. Cut into pieces of 3-4 cm . with wet knife .
  7. Garnish with avocado pieces .
  8. Put a little soy sauce above or serve on plate.
