When used consistently, aloe vera can prevent premature wrinkles and even slow the signs of ageing. It also helps banish the open pores of the skin and is recommended for all skin types, always accompanied by a moisturiser due to its astringent properties.

Aloe Vera also serves as a sunscreen and is known to attenuate and diminish sunspots. Furthermore, it is effective in the prevention and treatment of stretch marks.

There are many cosmetic uses that are given to this plant: Aloe Vera leaves are used as raw materials in various creams, hair treatments and medicated ointments. For hair and scalp, you can use aloe vera juice. It is recommended to rub aloe vera juice on the head, then once dry, rinse with water. Through continuous use, it will give a shine and strength to your hair, as well as help to remove grease and dandruff.

Just in time! Some little spots have appeared on my face and shoulders and it?s because I do not take enough care of my skin by applying cream or something, I hope it?s not too late and aloe can help at least to prevent more of these spots, so thanks for the recommendations

Every time I read something about aloe, it makes me think I should be getting an aloe plant at my house, and reading this article just kind of put me over the edge. These recipes are so easy, and have so many uses, it really makes me think I need to be getting one of these plants at home. The good thing is they are so easy to grow indoors!

An interesting article with lots of different and inspiring ways to use aloe vera in cosmetics! I also find Aloe Vera to be very useful in treating sunburn, which I suppose would come under the same heading as “minor burns” – it is really soothing and helps calm the skin, making it heal faster. Thanks for sharing these ideas!
