Baldness usually affects men more than women, and its causes are extremely diverse.
Food can play an important role in baldness, specifically a lack of certain nutrients, such as iron, vitamins and proteins. Other causes of hair loss can be hormonal problems, malnutrition, side effects of certain medications and stress, among others.
However, one of the primary causes, simply put, comes down to genetics and is usually the most difficult to treat.
Home remedies according to the cause
There are many natural alternatives to treat and stop hair loss, but it is recommended to choose a remedy that treats the cause of it, otherwise the success of the remedy may be affected.
Remedy 1: Capillary Massage
When we provide a massage to our scalp, it stimulates blood circulation and oxygenates the hair follicles, thus the hair root is strengthened.
Performing a massage is simple: With dry hair, place the tip of your fingers at the base of your head and begin to ascend by separating our fingers, performing a few repetitions. Later give your head a circular massage, always using the tips of your fingers without using nails or too much pressure. It is advisable to perform a massage daily or every other day.
Remedy 2: Castor Oil
The composition of castor oil can help stimulate hair growth and strengthen roots.
Usually just a few drops of castor oil applied in our hands and run through the hair can help, however you can also give yourself a massage using castor oil and focusing on the roots of your hair. Castor oil can be left on overnight and wash off in the morning. We can repeat the procedure daily to see greater effects.
Remedy 3: Aloe vera
The beneficial properties of this plant for the skin are known worldwide, as well as for hair loss. This is a home remedy that helps stimulate hair growth and strengthen its roots.
If we have a plant at home, we can simply cut a piece of aloe vera and rub the pulp directly on to our scalp, helping to spread it around with our fingers. In case you don't have a plant, you can use aloe vera gel following the same procedure, repeating three to four times a week.
Remedy 4: Olive oil
Many oils are useful to combat hair loss because they help nurture and strengthen hair and help to avoid it becoming any weaker.
To reap the benefits of olive oil, all you need to do is mix two tablespoons of olive oil with the juice of a fresh lemon, apply on the hair with your hands, leave to act for about 15 minutes and remove again. Repeat this three times a week.
Remedy 5: Green Tea
The antioxidants contained in green tea can become great allies against baldness, as they can help to strengthen hair and thus preventing hairloss. It is a very simple remedy to prepare:
Simply prepare an infusion of green tea and leave it to cool. Then proceed to wash your hair normally with shampoo before rinsing it with a green tea infusion.
In addition, consuming green tea may also prove to be useful: It is advised to drink two or three cups a day.
Remedy 6: Spinach and carrot juice
If you are looking to nourish your hair from the inside, you can consume a juice-based spinach and carrot juice and add a sprig of parsley. The intake of vitamin A of this juice can help us combat the dryness of the scalp, strengthen our hair and add shine.
Remedy 7: Natural yogurt
Yogurt helps improve scalp health, preventing hair loss. A mask of yogurt with a teaspoon of honey can be applied two or three times a week, massaged through the scalp and left on for 20 minutes before washing your hair normally.
Natural yogurt can also be useful to combat hair loss when we consume it because it is a good source of protein. It is advisable to include yoghurt in your diet two or three times a week.
Remedy 8: Wash your hair properly
One of the factors that weakens the hair the most is to wash it with hot water or expose it to heat for prolonged periods of time. To combat hairloss, it is essential to wash your hair with cold or lukewarm water.
Furthermore, it is important not to scrub your scalp too much, but preferably use just your fingertips to massage in soap.
