The Association of Municipalities Valley Guadiato is aware that the agricultural and livestock sectors are essential for socio-economic future of the Shire of Guadiato. But the current scenario requires finding new opportunities for these sectors, such as the organic agriculture and livestock, which is able to maintain farm income through optimal production, endogenous and durable. Besides the economic aspect, from the point of view, opting for these forms of production involves the conservation of the natural environment of our Shire.
Therefore, it is going to develop this conference, which aims to inform / as farmers and ranchers as programs in the region on issues such as the marketing of organic products, the certification process and calls for aid and subsidies for organic production.

This was in 2008…do you have any updated information? I’m planning a trip to Spain and this would be a cool thing to see, if it’s still going, or if, indeed, it is actually an annual event. A friend of mine is raising goats, and even thought he doesn’t consider the “livestock”, I would still like to know more about raising “livestock”
