Under the Plan of Actions for the Promotion of Organic Agriculture in Spain for 2007-2010

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food promotes the consumption of organic products with an organic menu in the cafeteria daily.

This initiative belongs among those to promote the consumption of organic products at the hotel and catering sector.

Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food promotes the development of organic agriculture on its own into a ecological journal cafeteria menu. The objective of this initiative is to promote the consumption of organic products and is part of Plan of Actions for the Promotion of Organic Agriculture in Spain for the period 2007-2010.

This initiative to incorporate an organic menu in the cafeteria of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food aims to promote the use of organic products in catering and restaurants. This action adds to the campaign and information on products from organic agriculture, which aims to extend knowledge of this type of food among the Spanish population and encourage consumption to stimulate domestic demand.

Plan, submitted by the Minister Elena Espinosa last February, has three main objectives. The first involves the development of organic agriculture as the general promotion of the sector. The second challenge seeks to boost domestic demand through the consumer information, while improving the infrastructure for marketing of organic products. Another objective is to improve collaboration to optimize the resources available to the sector of organic agriculture in our country.

Perfect! That’s great news! What better way to advertise the importance of organic agriculture than to provide it in none other than the very own ministry of agriculture! I bet when people taste the difference in fresh and organic, they begin to see the importance of promoting organics all around the world.
