Wheat germ is the most nutritious part of wheat grain, which is rich in nutrients, is an extraordinary food applied in nutritional supplements because it has a very interesting combination of minerals and nutrients such as those listed below:

Properties:

  • It has very high protein content, three times larger than animal meat (fish, chicken, beef, etc.).
  • Excellent source of vitamin E, one of the foods richest in this vitamin.
  • A powerful antioxidant (the Vitamin E is an antioxidant), which is responsible for eliminating free radicals that damage, rust and age to the cells causing wrinkles and conditions of all kinds.

Wheat germ and oats bread
 
Ingredients

  • 250 grams of finewheat flour
  • 150 grams of wheat germ
  • 200 grams of oat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of coarse sea salt
  • Warm water

Preparation

  1. Mix the flour into a bowl, add the yeast dissolved in warm water. Mix oil and salt, two tablespoons of warm water, add and mix a little flour and if necessary add more warm water to form a firm but not hard dough.
  2. Knead 10 minutes, flatten and put in the bowl, cover with a towel and let stand until it is double in size about 30 minutes or less, depending on the room temperature. When weighed, knead again only a little more.
  3. Place in a pudding mold that should be oiled lightly, cover and let stand another 30 minutes.
  4. Once weighed, then turn on the oven and bake over low heat for 30 or 40 minutes.
