Typhoid fever (also called enteric fever) is an infectious disease caused by bacteria called Salmonella typhi (Eberth bacillus), which is transmitted by fecal-oral route through food or water contaminated with manure.

BREAKFAST: cup of oats with soy milk. Toast with extra virgin olive oil, a squeeze of lemon and sliced tomatoes.

FOOD: steaming vegetable soup, miso soup, chicken or fish with brown rice, brown rice with vegetables. At this time, give him/her a piece of garlic clove with a glass of warm water. The diet of adults may be very similar to this, but the adult diet is recommended after a three-day cleansing diet consuming only papaya or pineapple and two liters of water with two glasses of serum suggested to the children.

Other essential remedies for a complete cure:

  • The child, youth or adult should rest as much as possible, avoiding any tension or pressure, sleep as long as possible.
  • For children, you should try to avoid seeing the TV, better to be around them by telling stories or talking. At this time the young need a lot of emotional contact.

I have read from several sources, and most of them says to avoid raw vegetables, and suggest milk, I don't know, but when I jumped to one articles to other articles, I got different information.. :( , but this article explain well.

Interesting article. I didn't even know typhoid fever was around anymore, but that's one of the things we maybe take for granted living in a 1st world country. I don't thing that places like those where we live now could cause this problem but when you travel to places that don't clean the water in the problem way, you must be careful! or even with the food

I remember that my son got sick with this awful disease when he was little and it was such a pain for everybody in the house, so I really really recommend to prevent before having problems, hygiene is the most important thing to avoid it, so keep everything clean and wash vegetables and fruits.
