Transgenics: Aggressive contaminants to the ecosystem and health

Published: 12/06/2015 - Updated: 01/16/2016

Transgenic refers to foods that have been genetically modified, which is a very real danger and threat to nature and ecosystems.  Transgenic products, which have already been introduced in some countries, have put a wide array of unnatural elements into circulation which have severely affected the natural environment of bacteria, plants, insects, and other natural organisms.  This has destroyed agricultural land, and has filled the natural organisms with truly harmful bacteria that could, later on, have repercussions in individual health.

Some scientists have proven the damage to nature that these transgenic products reap.  They have been silenced by industrial individuals that seek to protect their own economic rein over food.  They do not care about the harm that is being done to the land, animals and humans, as these foods have a toxic DNA that are not beneficial to health.  This can cause severe damages to health.

Transgenics also create a lot of financial strain on farmers because their work is being severely affected by these types of products.

If you truly want a quality, free life, along with a healthy natural world and healthy children, it is very important that you do not consume any type of transgenic product.  By avoiding this, not only are you supporting the planet, but also future generations by leaving them a better planet.  Becoming aware of this will truly help and support health for all of the planet.

Here is a list of the products you should avoid:

Corn

A lot of sources state that it is not harmful, and that consuming transgenic corn is safe.  But it is not.  the MSN has informed us that transgenic corn not only can affect health, severely damaging the liver, kidneys and intestines over time, but it also affects the suprarenal glands, the heart and spleen.  Corn harvest also severely affects the environment, and the work of several farmers.

Avoid: any product that contains corn (in Mexico, the brand Maseca, which is used especially for making tortillas), cornstarch (which is used as an additive in several products, and has no nutritional value.  It creates severe digestive problems, like all transgenics).

Options: eat organic corn.  Organic corn is used to prepare foods like cereal, tortillas, flour, cookies, etc.

Sugar from sugar beets

The world’s sugar productions is estimated to lie somewhere around 130 million metric tons, produced each year around the world.  Sugar beets make up 35% of this sugar, and the rest comes from sugar cane.  This type of sugar is responsible for making sucrose, but because it needed to survive the battle with other herbs, they created a transgenic version, Roundup Glyphosate to kill other herbs without affecting the sugar beet.  They also spray lots of truly toxic chemicals on these plants as they grow.

Avoid: anything and everything that contains sucrose, fructose, high fructose corn syrup.  Corn syrup is very harmful, as it is create chemically, in a toxic fashion.  Mercury has even been found in corn syrup.

Options: eat organic agave nectar, raw honey, Stevia (a sweetening plant), or organic sugar.

Soy

What a bummer for people that like this plant for all of its properties, which have been focused on by the transgenic market.  Eating soy can cause severe problems with the pancreas and intestines.

Soy lecithin is also a harmful product because all it is is the waste product created by processing raw soy oil, which generally contains strong dissolvents and pesticides.

Avoid: any soy product, and any product that contains soy lecithin.

Options: use organic and fermented soy, like miso or natto, and always look it over.

Organic products are a good choice because these companies truly worry about the environments, and animal and plant treatment.  You can make your own products at home, sowing small pots of tomato, alfalfa, culinary herbs, etc.

Tomatoes

Transgenic tomatoes lose a lot of their natural antioxidants, they are low in nutritional value, and growing them also affects the environment.

Options: use organic tomatoes (see the end note)

Sausages, ice cream, and baby formula

These products contain corn syrup and transgenic additives.

Options: If you’re craving sausage, don’t buy canned stuff.  Buy them at a local meat shop that raised the animals organically, or look for organic sausages.  Ice cream can always be found in organic versions, or make your own ice cream at home.

Synthetic, non-organic vitamins

Synthetic vitamins come from “supposedly” vegetable sources, but a lot of them come from corn, soy, and contain aspartame and hydrogenated oils that are toxic to health.

Other transgenic products

Meats, eggs, milk, etc., or foods from cows, because they were generally fed transgenic foods, like alfalfa, corn, etc.  It is then passed on from the animal meat and its byproducts, to the human body.  Cows and animals are also injected with transgenic hormones to make them gain weight.  Chemical products are used to fatten them up, and sometimes chickens get so fat that their feet break.  They are mistreated at the farm, and abuse is just awful.  It is a horrible lack of awareness for nature and animals.  Cattle also get a lot of unhealthy fats, which cause them a lot of problems and infections.

Options: Eat chicken and organically farmed steer, or any organic source of meat.

You should also avoid alfalfa, which is the staple food for cows and the milk and transgenic industry.

Avoid all oils that come from corn, soy, cotton or canola.  All of these products are transgenic.

Margarine, butter, papaya, Hawaiian squash, and transgenic linseed have also been illegally cultivated in Canada, but it may have also infected other species, which could create a real environmental catastrophe.

Take a good look at the containers you buy.  If you have any doubts you can call and verify that what you are buying does not have GMO products, or contain any transgenic product.  Small decisions grow into big things.
