The best of life comes with a joyful heart

We all want great things in our lives: cars, houses, good fortune, health, luck, safety, beauty, a great job, a partner or just to have time to do what we want to do … And why not ? Who says we are limited while choosing what want in life? Who says we can not have the best things? "Dreaming does not cost anything", says a popular saying. And although we all want to get the great things in life, it is also true that the way to reach them is not always so simple. When we dream and plan great things for us, a long list of challenges that may seem problems, obstacles and limitations appear, and we do not know how toface them.

An ideal World

Imagine for a moment that we can get anything we want without any cost, you pass near the boy or girl you like and have him/her as our partner, choose the best car or house and know that it is already ours, ask for health or a good amount of money and it is already in our hands, debts are paid instantly, food and rides that we want, the best clothes. Whatever. Without having to work. Would you like that? How would the world be if everything were that easy? Why can not life be that simple? Would this world be ideal then?

Maybe if things were like that everyone would be happy… How nice to get everything you want! And yes, it would be nice. But perhaps just for a while, because people eventually would get bored sooner or later… and then what? We have everything … What is next?

Effortlessly

If everything could be obtained without effort, you could get bored sooner or later because you would't have the need to develop skills, people would not watch or get to know themselves, or they woould be like a spoiled child who has everything, maybe with time, people would be apathetic, moody, irritable, and may even lose the sense of having fortune, luck, health and everything. What's next? Nothing, because you already have it.

Maybe on some other planet, being able to have everything one wants talks about the creative capabilities of the beings who live there, perhaps these beings have learned to use their skills and be able to have or express what they want. However, on this planet, there are dreams: a place of dreamers, of seekers. The dreams in some way are here because perhaps our greatest challenge is to discover how to get and reach them. Well they say that the most valuable things are the ones that cost us the most. Why do we prefer things that cost? Because during the process to get it, we develop creative skills we did not known, we awaken our creative power, we inspire trust, confidence, we learn things we dind't know and turned what looked like a weakness into a strength.

Dreaming reality

When things are produced by advantageous roads, cheating and betraying what we are and our own convictions, satisfying our need for power at the expense of others, the achievement will not be the same. Why? Because we are only creating from a deep need for power, which only wants to be satisfied immediately and by routes that represent a great conflict.

However, when we connect with what we really want and from there we start to create reality, then the process of creating the dream becomes an adventure that really exalts, dignifies and sweetens our lives. No dream is "right or wrong", all dreams are valid. The problem of not finding true joy when you accomplish something, is that you act unfaithful to what you really feel and become oblivious to your true values. It is when we lose contact with ourselves. We become greedy, impatient, we want things to happen fast, quick cures, money right away, we want respect, appreciation or that people take us into account by the force, we feel that th world owe us something, that life is unfair with what we are.

Dreams without joy

And when we dream without joy, during the creative process we become irritable, impatient, anxious, angry. We are competing to win affection, recognition, acceptance, fame, fortune or whatever. We are not quiet or sleep, we lose touch with our surroundings, we become distant, cold, pointless. And then, just in case we got to express what we dream, we did that tired, exhausted, perhaps sick, full of fights with everyone, far from those we love … That was the great dream that we wanted to achieve?

What we want in life and the path we have chosen to get it: What is most important? The path or what we look for?

Dreams with joy

If we neglect the present in exchange for things in the future, then we are always living for the future, we will not enjoy or be happy every day. Do you think that happiness is what you seek? Do you think you'll be happy when you get it? Then you never will be, because happiness and joy are not anything you can find out there. One day you will realize that when you find or get what you want, you'll still feel unsatisfied. And you'll want more and more. It really does not matter what you want, youwill not be really happy until you understand that you should not lose your heart smile while you are looking for what you want. The joy rise the most beautiful things, because when you get them, then you will understand how much you grew up while you created your dreams.

How to get really good things

It is therefore important that you observe today and see if you really are connected with yourself and your surroundings, if you have not lost the kindness, if you're being honest and natural, if you're not pretending to be something you're not, if you are giving you time to contemplate the stars at night or the eyes of your lover, if you're giving the opportunity to express your love for others and gratitude for what you already have. All these attitudes will keep your heart happy and truly connected to what you want while you do it. And when you succeed, you will see you will feel good, accomplished, happy, people next to you will be happy. Be kind to you and I value and respect, your health will be good and grateful for your mood. All around you will multiply the joy and blessings. Then, you will accomplish the greatest thing in life.

What a fantastic article. So short and sweet, but tey are lovely reminders of the way life should be lived! I have recenty been reminding myself, whenever I remember, that I should live this moment now intentionally, the way I want to live it. And that thought really does a great job at pulling me back into now.
