Behind the stomach, located on the left side of the body, we have a gland which is responsible for producing certain digestive juices, in addition to insulin, an important hormone that regulates the storage of nutrients. Pancreas is an essential gland for life and has both endocrine (produces hormones such as insulin, which regulates the level of blood sugar and glucagon, which down the sugar) and exocrine (that makes pancreatic juice, a liquid composed of water, bicarbonate, and numerous digestive enzymes that play a vital role in digestion of food) features.

When the pancreas is weak, we may be suffering various conditions such as high blood sugar levels (diabetes), pancreatitis, and more.

What damages the pancreas?

  • Animal fats, especially cow's milk and red meat are harmful to the health of the pancreas. Also refined products, sausages and fried.
  • Foods with added chemicals (such as preservatives, colorings, additives, etc.), and refined products (sugar, flour, etc.) block many vital body functions, and damage the functions of the pancreas.
  • Smoking
  • Drinking alcohol
  • Anger, frustration and disappointment are emotions that influence the malfunction of the pancreas.
