Slimming juices with Green tea

Green tea is a good ally for diets and weight-loss strategies as it has a thermogenic effect that helps promote the body's burning of fat. It also works as an ergogenic, so that when combined with exercise, it promotes our physical performance and energy use during physical activity.

1. Pear and prune juice with green tea

Pears are a nutritious fruit with antioxidant properties, which help combat high blood pressure, cholesterol and improve our immune system. They also provide iron and calcium, which help strengthen bones and red blood cells.

  • 2 oranges (juiced)
  • 3 plums
  • 2 pears
  • 1 cup of cold green tea
  • 1 piece of  nopal cactus

  1. Pit the pears and plums before passing through the juicer.
  2. Add the resulting juice to the orange juice and the cactus and blend together in a blender/food processor. Add green tea, stir and serve immediately. It is recommended to drink the juice twice a week.

2. Pineapple and Green Tea

This juice is useful to combat constipation. Aloe vera combats constipation naturally and is also anti-inflammatory. It also helps to balance the intestinal mucosa of the stomach, making it useful for heartburn.

  • 1 piece of aloe vera
  • 1 cup of pineapple juice
  • 2 cups of brewed green tea
  • Stevia to sweeten

  1. Cut the aloe in half, wash well with cold water and remove the pulp.
  2. Blend the pineapple juice and green tea with the aloe pulp. Serve and drink immediately.
This juice can be drunk daily until intestinal transit improves.

3. Green juice with vinegar

Cactus is a plant rich in fibre which helps us remove fat and reduce constipation. It helps to cleanse the colon, because it is rich in soluble and insoluble fiber. The latter absorbs water and thus accelerates the passage of food through the digestive tract, regulating proper digestion.

  • 1 cactus
  • 1 small bunch of purslane
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1 cup of cold green tea
  • 1 stick of celery

  1. Pass the celery and purslane through a juice extractor. Add the resulting juice to the blender with the remaining ingredients and blend.
  2. Serve and drink immediately. You can drink this juice three times a week to regulate your bowel movements.

4. Pineapple and green apple

The pineapple has diuretic properties, providing enzymes that help improve our digestion and activating the metabolism which facilitates fat loss.

  • 1 cup of diced pineapple
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 cup of cold green tea
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons of fresh ginger

  1. Pass apple and pineapple through the extractor.
  2.  Blend the resulting juice with green tea and ginger. Serve and drink. It is recommended to consume this juice 2 times a week.

Green tea is usually well tolerated and is a great ally for diets. You can drink as tea or cold, however it is important to consider the following:

In the case of pregnancy and lactation, do not drink more than two cups a day since it also contains a small dose of caffeine which is a stimulant, representing in an increased risk of miscarriage.

It is also recommended to avoid it in cases of diabetes, anemia, osteoporosis, liver disease, anxiety disorders and glaucoma, in which case it is best to consult your doctor before use.

Hi there, I really like the sound of these recipes (apart from the green juice with vinegar - that sounds disgusting!) although all seem to, in some way, make you shit more which doesn't sound an entirely healthy way to encourage slimming. The only way to achieve real results is by eating a healthy, balanced diet and exercise. No amount of green juice is going to make you lose weight - these juices would need to form part of a bigger diet.

Interesting recipes, especially the green juice with vinegar. It doesn't sound appetizing, but those are usually the ones that do just the trick. I drink traditional yerba mate every morning (I lived in Argentina for a while), and every morning I feel so cleansed and energized from it. That has been the most refreshing green tea I have ever had yet.

I really like green tea, I have only mixed it with lemon but I need to add a little bit of sugar to sweeten the flavor. This ideas are great, if I mix the green tea with fruits like pineapple, I don't need to add sugar. Great article!

Green juice with vinegar? that doesn't sounds like nice, I mean, just imagining the taste I do not want to try that, the rest of the recipes seem pretty ok for the palate, well, the benefits are good, I cannot deny that, but I do not know if I could drink that haha

Wow, mixing those fruits with the green tea sounds like creating a good and refreshing drink, and that is very awesome! because you are preparing your own natural drink, with many benefits, for example if you are a runner or practice any kind of sport, having one of these drinks near could be very helpful

There is much information about all this topic and the good benefits you can have, for example if you try to change the habit of drinking soda for the habit of drinking some green tea that you can bottle yourself at home before going to school or work, it is good idea, right?
