Properties of Kamut wheat

Antioxidant effect thanks to its contribution of Selenium and vitamin E (30% more than in common wheat). Important in case of cardiovascular problems as they help to avoid the oxidation of cholesterol.

It produces less allergies than common wheat since it is not a hybrid. The current types of wheat have suffered many crosses in order to adapt to the needs of each moment (weather, fashions, textures ...).

Its flavor is more tasty (although that can be very personal) than conventional wheat since it has a lower water content and is richer in minerals.

Very good use of its proteins due to its richness in the amino acid Lysine that is usually scarce in cereals.

Like wheat, its richness in carbohydrates gives us a good level of continuous energy.
