Gastritis is a common stomach upset, several factors may influence the onset and development, we can classify it in:

Acute gastritis: is an inflammation of the stomach lining. It may be due to excess alcohol, food poisoning or a bacterial infection. An attack of gastritis can be triggered by medications such as aspirin or arthritic.

  • Do not eat too much, or too fast.
  • Try to avoid food and drinks that contain caffeine, which can cause the stomach lining to become inflamed.
  • If you suffer an acute attack, stop eating, drink water at room temperature over a period of a few hours to a day and gradually introduce more foods slowly, until your stomach has recovered.
  • Avoid spicy foods and those that are very high in fat.
  • Quit smoking and avoid those who do.
  • If you identify a drug as a cause of gastritis, then ask your doctor for another option to eliminate this source.
