Juices and teas to treat anxiety

Feeling anxious can be due to various causes and treatments are endless. However, the best treatments for anxiety are undoubtedly the diet, modifying habits and ways of seeing and experiencing life, and support with fresh vegetables and herbs to really cure anxiety, not just numb and anesthetize you body with drugs.

One of the best ways to begin to treat anxiety is to start including foods rich in vitamins B and start a routine of juice to nourish the body and help soothe, nourish and heal the nervous system.

Fruits and vegetables recommended for anxiety

FRUITS: apple, pear, nectarine, orange, lemon and grape.
VEGETABLES: cooked lightly and steamed are usually relaxers for the digestive and nervous system. The carrot and leeks are good sedative, but here are two great plants to soothe anxious states naturally:

  • Lettuce: This is one of the more sedative and relaxing vegetables. In the Middle Ages, in Europe, it was a powerful sleeping pill. A lettuce tea is excellent for soothing anxiety states.
  • Onion: Gently cooked in broth has a sedative effect on the digestive and nervous system, in addition to debug the intestines of irritants that can affect the nervous system.

Walnut and Apple Juice

Ingredients

  • An apple washed
  • Almond milk
  • 4 walnuts (good for nourishing the nervous system)
  • A little bit of orange blossom honey (soothing)

Preparation

  1. Pass apple with peel through the extractor. Then, blend with milk of almonds and walnuts.
  2. Drink at the moment.

Pear Juice with Oats

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Pass the pear through the juice extractor.
  2. Prepare mint tea and then, when this is warm, blend with pear juice and oatmeal. Place over medium heat and let it warm up about 3 minutes.
  3. Add honey and drink warm.

Infusion of Lettuce

Ingredients

  • One cup of fresh lettuce
  • Small teaspoon of orange or flowers blossom honey

Procedure

  1. In a cup of boiling water, add the well disinfected and chopped lettuce and let soak for 3 minutes in boiling water.
  2. Then strain and add honey from flowers. Drink before bedtime or when you're anxious.

Infusion of Sage

Ingredients

  • Two tablespoons of sage
  • A glass of water
  • Orange blossom honey (very little)
  • Juice of one lemon

Preparation

  1. Boil a glass of pure water and off. Immediately, add the sage and let the container stand covered for 5 minutes.
  2. Strain and add lemon juice and honey.
  3. Drink hot.

Infusion of Rosemary

Ingredients

  • A teaspoon of rosemary
  • A glass of water
  • Juice of one lemon
  • A pinch of honey from flowers

Procedure

  1. Boil the water and then add the rosemary. Off.
  2. Let stand 5 minutes, add the lemon juice and honey. Drink hot.

    Sometimes, when I come to my house after work, I just feel that the entire day is pushing my back all the time, and I really need to relax my body and my mind to feel complete and to rest well. I’m very interested in the connection between mind and body, because if you treat your body well, you treat your mind well. This isn’t to say that meditation shouldn’t take place as well though….
