If you are a person that includes a salad every day to your daily diet, this article will be helpful, because it has the recipe of three healthy, nutritious and refreshing salads, made of vegetables like tomatoes, avocado and the artichoke.

You should know that vegetables along with fruits foods are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytochemicals. However, the vast majority of people do not usually consume them regularly, giving priority to sugar, fat, carbohydrates and salt in processed products.

Do not waste all the benefits that vegetables and fruits provide and let’s teach our children to eat them since they are very small. There are fun ways to cook and present them to eat and enjoy.

Remember that eating vegetables is essential for good health.

Tomato Salad with Avocado (for four people)

Ingredients

  • 500 g of ripe fresh tomatoes
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 250 g of sliced mozzarella cheese
  • Various branches of fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil

Preparation

  1. Cut tomatoes into thin slices, removing the central part
  2. Cut the avocados in half, remove the skin and bone and cut the flesh into slices.
  3. Place alternating slices of tomato, avocado and mozzarella cheese. Season with salt and black pepper, chop the basil and sprinkle over the salad properly.
  4. Mix oil and vinegar and add it.
  5. Serve.

Properties of the tomato

It is beneficial for healing wounds and promotes healing. In addition to controlling blood pressure, tomatoes regulate body fluids and some people attribute them aphrodisiac properties.

The tomato is among the low-calorie foods. 100 g. of this food contains only 22.17 kcal.

Tomatoes have iron, proteins, calcium, fiber, potassium, iodine, zinc, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B7, vitamin B9, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, phosphorus and sugar.

Because of its low-calorie composition, it is advisable to eat tomato to keep the weight.

Properties of avocado

It is useful in the fight against cholesterol and prevents atherosclerosis.

It stimulates collagen formation. This helps the skin and combat aging.

The softening properties of the seed from avocado (avocado oil) are used in the cosmetics industry to develop products for skin and hair.

    I love learning to do new recipes and improve my menu. I love when I do something new and my family receives a surprise. In this family we love making salads because of their important healthy value. I?m gonna try these recipes for sure right now!

    Very interesting! I love how you provided the nutritional information for a few of the key ingredients alongside the recipes, that really motivates people to actually try them out. They all sound really tasty, although now that we’re entering into winter I won’t be eating as many salads. I do believe it’s better for the body to eat soups in the winter.
