Unfortunately, the fall of hair is no longer a problem only of men. The Female Alopecia affects a small percentage of women between 20 and 30 years and 30% of those between 40 and 60 years.

But do not to panic so quickly. Women tend to despair-nonsense when seeing some hair falling. Androgenic female alopecia characteristics have a clear and the simple fact that there is greater falling does not mean that we suffer a pathological alopecia.

Before going and buying products that help hard, get to know your type of hair loss to get a diagnosis. Who better than a dermatologist to do it?

Lack of information makes the 97% of women suffering alopecia try to stop by themselves. Just when they have gone through several treatments without success, they give up and go to a professional.

There are hundreds of products on the market that claim to stop hair fall or regenerate. Some may help improve the overall quality or to live more, but that does not mean that solve the root problem.

Androgenic Alopecia in Women (Female Baldness)

The main causes of androgenic alopecia are: genetic predisposition, a variation in the levels of endocrine hormones (androgens) and over the years.

While presenting many similarities with the bald men, they are very different aesthetically.

Noting photography we can see that the Female Androgenic Alopecia differs greatly to that of men. The pattern is called "Diffuse or Corona." The hair of the frontal zone remained normal, and yet the hair of the centerline falls or weakens. Specifically, the hair is replaced by increasingly fine hair, which displays part of the scalp.

With the advent of menopause and the loss of estrogen protection, the problem is emphasized and come in some cases, lost the front line.

Women with Androgenic Alopecia have several solutions, but should never consider a treatment without a prior diagnosis. Drugs that respond well to these cases are Minoxidil and some hormone treatments (oral antiandrogens). Antiandrogens are generally used as Cyproterone to acetate combined with ethinyl estradiol.

While in many cases it is true the dye, hair lotions and more destroy the hair, it is not true for women who suffer from Androgenic Alopecia. It has nothing to do one thing with another. You can make your hair look worse if you receive an abuse, but if you suffer androgenic alopecia the process will deteriorate even if you try your hair with the incredibly softly.

If you're losing density of your hair and think you may suffer from Androgenic Alopecia, we suggest a consultation with your dermatologist and avoid treatments that do not work: capillary massages, laser, etc.

If the weakening of the hair is accompanied by additional symptoms such as
infertility, cystic acne, galactorrhea, or irregular periods, it will take some hormonal studies.

Remember that you should never start a treatment without consulting a professional.
