Do you have a dry throat? Do you have phlegm with frequency? Does your throat hurts or you easily cough? While passing the food, does your throat hurt? Do not hesitate to follow this guide to natural care for your throat when it’s is dry and prevent sickness. If you follow these ten tips to the letter, you can prevent or keep your throat healthy always.

1. Throat with enough moisture

The first thing you should do when you have a problem with your throat is to take at least two liters of pure water a day, pure water (no sodas or other drinks) is essential to keep the vocal cords moist and keep the throat warm. We must do this, especially in hot weather or as a preventive habit.

2. Avoid medicines and drugs

Do not use pharmacy drugs always. Abusing of drugs or taking them easily just cause that your defenses become weak because the medicine does the job that should be done by the immune system to self heal the body, which will make you dependent and probably you will need increase to stronger doses. Remember that pain, infection or disease only alerts you that something is out of balance in your body, it’s just warn that your body does to be with a certain harmony and healthy. Do not want to get rid of pain quickly, be more patient and pay attention to restore harmony of body and prevent relapse again, and nothing better than natural medicine, which will increase your defenses and help you balance all aspects of a condition.

3. Diet

If you frequently suffer from throat pain, is that your defenses are down or are not absorbing nutrients well. You need to avoid refined products such as flour (white bread), sugar and products that include it, as well as cow's milk and derivatives. These products are the cause of many toxins and mucus, and predispose the body to suffer all kinds of infections. White sugar (and its long list of products) creates environments that make the body suitable to incubate germs and bacteria of all kinds, many of which enter through the throat. Cow's milk, besides being very difficult to digest, creates much phlegm in the body, as well as generates internal fever, which creates many toxins in the body (toxemia).

4. Food and household tips for maintaining a healthy throat

There are many natural foods you can eat to make your throat very healthy. Garlic is one of the best remedies as it is an excellent natural antibiotic, in addition to fight infection; it helps prevent infections or throat inflammation and will heal quickly. The onion has very similar properties to garlic; there are many remedies for the throat containing garlic and onion. Lemon, all citrus fruits, broccoli, radishes, blueberries, pineapple, berries and all foods rich in vitamin C and A are the most recommended to increase defenses and avoid swollen throat. The papaya is an excellent natural fruit.

5. Don’t take off your tonsils

Many people think that a remedy for getting sick of the throat is to remove their tonsils, but nothing more wrong than this. Nature has placed the tonsils with the function to prevent germs and bacteria from accessing the body, they are a useful shield, so instead of cutting the body, we must give them what they need to make them very healthy.

6. Throat gargles to heal

If you have a dry, inflamed, infected throat or it hurts or burns, nothing better than gargling with onion, garlic, or propolis. Mash 3 raw garlic and then blend with half a cup of pure water. Gargle with this mixture in the night or day. You can also do this with chopped onion (red onion is great) or water with the juice of two lemons, honey and propolis.

7. Bees as medical supply

The bee kit could not miss to heal the throat, because of their potent anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Propolis is a wonder for all throat problems, it fights infections, and helps reduce inflammation and dryness. Chewing beeswax is a good remedy for cough.

8. Avoid forcing your throat

If you have to talk a lot, then always have a bottle with plain water to keep your throat moist. Avoid yelling or talking loud.

9. Avoid smoking

Avoid being in environments polluted by tobacco smoke or smog, if your throat is weak you should not force your breath and avoid talking.

10. Whenever you have throat problems, you must rest very well

Because your body is warning that the defenses are down and you need rest. Drink teas of lemon or orange with honey before sleeping, and if you have phlegm, make a tea with an excellent eucalyptus expectorant.

11. And finally, try not to stop or control the things you want to say or express

Throat problems also have to do with the harmony that is in our feelings and emotions, and as it is a conduit of expression, if the communication is not harmonious and balanced or not flow and remains stagnant, the throat will suffer. This blocked energy can later become dry cough, burning, or hoarseness.
