Do you like pie? Try these recipes!

In baked goods, the pie is one of the most popular desserts in the world. It seems that the pie began in Rome when the Romans reed or reeds surfaces to hold the fillings (the first was made with meat). Currently, using bread, pastry , biscuits and to pitta bread are used to hold many fillers, whether fresh or salted, with which this food can be processed. One of the first recipes published ( by the Romans ) was the rye pie with goat cheese and honey.

Here we give the recipe of sweet 5 pies so you can surprise one of these days to your family or friends with an original dessert.

Peach Pie

Makes 16 pieces

Ingredients

  • Cookies 6 cups (or 2 packets) or roasted sweet biscuits.
  • 2 Sticks of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • Corn starch 2 1/2 tablespoons
  • 1 can of peaches in syrup or natural peach equivalent prepared with brown sugar, broken into halves.
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 190 g of cream cheese
  • 1 aluminum pie mold
  • Cold water : 1/4 cup

Procedure

  1. Blend cookies and stir them with melted butter to form a paste.
  2. Place on greased with butter.
  3. Blend condensed milk with the cream cheese, eggs , vanilla and empty it over dough.
  4. Bake 25 minutes at 200 ° C.
  5. Slice peaches and accommodate them on pie.
  6. Stir the cornstarch in the water. Simmer the syrup , starch and stir until boiling . Dip the peaches with the mixture. Refrigerate .

Pecan pie

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups of whole wheat flour
  • Half cup of butter, melted
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • 5 tablespoons of ice water
  • 200 g of chopped walnuts

Ingredients for the filling

  • sugar (preferably brown ) : 1/2 cup
  • Butter: 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Corn Syrup : 1 cup
  • Nuts: 1 cup , chopped
  • Vanilla: 1 tsp
  • Salt: 1 tsp
  • 3 eggs
  • Pie mold

Preparation

  1. Sift the flour with the salt, add the butter and ice water as needed basis to form a smooth paste.
  2. Extend with roller and accommodate a pie pan .
  3. For the filling blend the butter , sugar and gradually add the eggs one by one .
  4. Add the honey, salt, vanilla and nuts. Mix for a minute. Pour the mixture into the pan and cover with nuts.
  5. Bake for one hour at 175 ° C.

Cheesecake

Yield: 9 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of vegetable shortening
  • 3 cups of whole wheat
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 300 g of cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • Cookies : 3 cups
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • Salt: a pinch
  • A little icy water
  • 1 pie mold

Procedure

  1. Stir flour with two forks with the butter and a pinch of salt with a little ice water until dough together .
  2. Forming a pancake and adapt it into a greased pie pan .
  3. Blend the eggs, milk , cheese and vanilla. Add the mixture over crust in pan.
  4. Finely grind cookies and cover the mixture completely .
  5. Bake at 175 ° C for 30 minutes .

Apple pie

Yield: 10 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups of whole wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • shortening ¾
  • 1 tablespoon of sour cream
  • ½ cup of cold water and 1 tablespoon

Stuffing ingredients 

  • 1. 25 kg of yellow apples (about 7)
  • 1 cup of sugar ( preferably brown )
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 egg yolk

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, sift the flour with the salt.
  2. With an electric mixer on low speed , add shortening and mix for a minute, until it takes on the appearance of corn dough .
  3. Add sour cream and mix with your fingers.
  4. Gradually add the cold water.
  5. Mix together with your fingers until the mixture does not separate .
  6. Roll the dough into two balls.
  7. Wrap them in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Filling preparation and cooking:

  1. Peel the apples, remove the hearts, and cut into wedges 1 inch thick. Combine the wedges , sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat and cook the apples for 5 minutes, stirring a little.
  3. Remove apples and cinnamon sugar syrup and place in a large bowl. Continue to cook the syrup for another 5 minutes , or until reduced to about 1/2 cup.
  4. Add the syrup to the apples and set aside. Melt butter and combine with flour, mix and add all the apples.
  5. Heat oven to 220 ° C. Use a roller on a surface dusted with a little flour and flatten one of the dough balls to the base pay of 33 cms.
  6. Double it and put into a deep pie pan of 24 cm, cut the excess edges, but leave 1 cm dough on the edge of the mold.
  7. Fill the mold with apples . Trample the other ball of dough into the pie covered the 30 cm and put on the mold down the dough to double it thoroughly. Pinch the edges of the dough to make a decorative edge.
  8. Cut 6 slits in top dough so steam can escape. Mix 1 tablespoon of water to the egg yolk in a small bowl to paint the upper dough with the mixture.
  9. Bake in middle of oven for 35 minutes or until the dough is well browned. Let cool before serving.

Lemon Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 1 can of condensed milk.
  • 1 packet of cookies
  • 7 lemons

Accessories: 1 juicer, 1 kitchen shovel , 1 container for mixing , 1 mold.

Preparation:

  1. Empty the two milk in blender and add the lemon juice .
  2. Blend 3 minutes.
  3. In the mold , arrange the cookies using the bottom .
  4. Pour some of the mixture on top and spread well until all the cookies cover .
  5. Put another layer of cookies and repeat the mix .
  6. Do this two more times.
  7. Once ready , put in the refrigerator for 6 hours.
  8. Serve cold.

    Oh man…this is a pretty dangerous page here! All of these recipes look just fantastic, and pecan pie is hands down one of my favorites!! I’m not huge on sweets, but I can always do with a slice of pecan pie. That lemon pie looks great too!!
