Did you know that every day your kidneys purify 200 liters of blood of which about 2 liters becomes waste and excess water? The function of this organ often is unnoticed by us, and we don’t give the proper care that it deserves, as we do with other organs such as the liver and heart.

You should know that your kidneys work constantly without stopping, filtering and purifying the blood, removing the salt or any foreign and harmful substance that could enter our system, in turn; they release hormones that contribute to the production of red blood cells and control and maintain blood pressure and calcium balance in the body.

The kidneys are associated with the proper functioning of all organs, because around one fifth part of the blood pumped by the heart goes to the kidneys. They have the appearance of two peas and are located in the middle of the back, just below the ribs.
