CAAE Association and the Association of Ecological Producers of Extremadura (EMPRECOEX) signed today a cooperation agreement to promote specific production, processing, marketing and consumption of certified organic products.

Under this agreement, the two associations will cooperate in various activities to develop the organic sector. Among other actions, it has developed a promotional plan that includes attendance at fairs and other events in the industry, publishing a guide to eco Extremadura and various information leaflets on organic products.

Also to enhance the development of the ecological techniques, they organized a conference on marketing of organic products, which will be held in Merida next May. With the same goal, both institutions have planned the celebration in June, a few days in Extremadura.

That’s great that there are a few major players in driving organic agriculture throughout parts of Spain, I would really love to see those numbers grow, supported by a wider variety of groups. This article seems to be a little dated, any updates on progress?
