There are some foods that can help lower the risk of cancer and are also good allies if you develop the disease. Today it has been discovered that diet is one of the best supplements that anyone can take for successful treatment of cancer.
It should be noted that additional actions other than a diet rich in anti-cancer foods are required to fight cancer, but food and diet are no less important as a result.
Dietary Plan
Changing your diet from one day to another can be a difficult task, so try gradually including recommended foods.
Include 3-6 servings of grain-based food integers: Say goodbye to white rice and use wholegrains in their place. It is also advisable to eat wholemeal breads and cereals, as well as crackers, pasta and tortillas. This maximizes the intake of fibre, which may help fight breast cancer by lowering levels of estrogen.
Eat a handful of nuts several times a week: Nuts (peanuts, almonds, cashews, walnuts, pistachios, etc.) are another source of fibre and monounsaturated fats which fight cancer.
Consume 9 or more daily servings of fruits and vegetables: Fruits and vegetables are full of phytochemicals that help fight cancer, but it is important that you consume these foods fresh, not through cooking or any other preparation process.
To achieve this you can include 3 servings of fruits and vegetables at every meal, plus little snacks of fruit or vegetables throughout the day. Once you get used to it, it's much easier than you think. These include each of the 3 groups:
Cruciferous vegetables: Broccoli, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower.
Lycopene-rich vegetables: Tomatoes, pink grapefruit, watermelon and guava.
Beta-carotene-rich vegetables: Carrots, sweet potatoes.
Citrus fruits: Oranges, grapefruit.
Red fruits: Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries.
Leafy dark greens: Spinach, romaine lettuce, cabbage.
Consuming shiitake mushrooms and artichokes once a week can also help to combat cancer, due to their high content of silymarin (a substance that helps the optimal functioning of the liver).
Eat fatty fish 2 or 3 times a week: Omega-3 fats in fish like salmon, mackerel, albacore tuna, sardines and herring may help fight breast cancer.
One or two servings of low-fat dairy: Try to eat dairy of organic origin, which is the most suitable option for anti-cancer nutrition and they will be free of actors beyond the common milk composition.
Consume 4 cups of green tea a day: This tea is very popular in Japan, where the rate of breast cancer is much lower than other countries. Green tea is rich in antioxidants and is well-known for being a potent anti-cancer ingredient.
Consume 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed daily: Flaxseed is a good source of lingan precursors. As the body becomes weak and cannot fight estrogen, flaxseed could help prevent or treat tumors that respond to estrogen. It also provides a plant-based form of omega-3. To obtain its benefits, it is recommended to consume the seed ground.
Consume garlic, herbs and spices as you wish: Every herb or spice increases your intake of phytochemicals that may fight cancer.
Use extra virgin olive oil or canola oil for cooking: Both oils are popular because they contain large amounts of monounsaturated fatty acids, which may protect against breast cancer.
Try to consume 1-2 servings of legumes a day: Legumes are a rich source of fibre and help our bodies to be optimally healthy.
Avoid red meat: Try to consume lean red meats by choosing leaner cut, and restricts consumption to a maximum of twice a week.
