If you think extreme sports are just for young and intrepid people, you should know that there are some options that do not involve many risks, and you don’t need to be a top athlete to practice them. And best of all, it is something you can enjoy with your family.
Extreme sports involve risks, otherwise they would not be extreme, but if you practice under expert supervision, with all the equipments, in suitable places and conditions, these risks decrease considerably and the activity becomes a pleasant and relaxing experience. So do not risk yourself doing sports without the things mentioned before.
There are a variety of extreme sports such as skydiving, bungee jumping, kayaking, mountain biking, paragliding, rafting, diving, gotcha, etc.
Hiking
For those who enjoy walking long distances, hiking can be more than a sport and become a way of life. It is an excellent choice to escape from the routine of large cities, brings us closer to nature, and we can see places we never imagined, hear new sounds and breath fresh air. If you decide on hiking, you should consider the following recommendations:
Take care of your shoes: If the shoes are not appropriate, they can hurt you and make the experience of hiking unpleasant.
At present there are special shoes for hiking, anti skid soled, water-repellent, boot, half boot, according to your taste.
Beware of the sun: Do not underestimate the damage that can result from sun exposure. It is necessary to wear sunscreen with a good protection factor.
Clothes: They should be fresh, maybe some shorts, a shirt, a hat and some sunglasses. If you walk at night, wear reflective clothing and use a lamp.

Baggage: If the walks start from a base camp, carry the essential things in a backpack. Try to include food, water, a first aid kit, a compass, a raincoat, a lighter or matches, insect repellent and sunscreen.
Walking is one of the best ways to combat obesity, and it´s wonderful to enjoy of nature at the same time.
Rappel
It’s a system of descent with a rope that is used in vertical surfaces. It’s the most employed descent system, and is often used to rescue people. However, you must take your precautions, if you are a beginner, it is best that an instructor accompanies you. The equipment used, are the anchor, harness, carabiner, special ropes, gloves, helmet and some comfortable clothing to move with ease.

You have to use your upper and inferior extremities to practice this sport.

The types of climbing depends on where they are made, can be a climbing wall, or gym, rock climbing, free climbing indoor or outdoor, and a big wall. You must know the precautions we should take when practicing this sport.
Children and adults can practice it, however, if you do not have the necessary experience, it is best to do it in a gym or climbing wall, and under the supervision of an expert.

Ah!!! How exciting!! Even just reading this article got me pumped up to get out there and go do some fun sports. I love paddle boarding and kite surfing too. Climbing is good too, and it doesn’t have to be super dangerous. With all of these sports – as mentioned – there are tons of ways to take safety precautions to make sure it’s not a “life or death” adventure.
