Published: 09/21/2013 - Updated: 01/25/2017

Wrinkles are fine lines that appear regularly with age. They are seen as skin folds usually associated with old age. However, these fine lines can fade or be prevented to some extent if we follow the recommendations below.

1. Anti Wrinkle Products

When using a product to reduce or prevent wrinkles, make sure it's of a good quality, those with collagen, sera, hot spring water and snail gel can come in handy, as long as they have the active ingredients mentioned. Use professional treatments from a reliable laboratory whenever possible, as these products will keep your skin soft and smooth.

2. Beware of the sun

UV radiation can be harmful to your skin and exposing yourself to too much sun can accelerate the process of ageing by free radicals, which is why it is advisable to use a sunscreen whenever you go out. Sunscreen creams are ideal for your face, and when necessary, try to use sunglasses or a visor to protect you from the sun's effects.

3. Avoid Smoking

While our heart and lungs are affected by this bad habit, our skin also suffers from the harmful effects of smoking. Numerous studies have shown that the skin of smokers tends to wrinkle faster and also often having a greater chance of developing skin cancer.

4. Do not try fast diets

With sudden changes related to your weight, such as fast diets the skin undergoes a stretching process, and unfortunately as we age our skin loses its elasticity and tone. As a result, it may become flacid with these weight changes, so it is advisable to try to lose weight gradually, for which it may be best to consult the advice of a nutritionist.

5. Stay hydrated

Water is vital to stay well hydrated, so it is recommended that you drink between 6-8 glasses of water a day. In addition, it can help to eliminate toxins which will be reflected in the appearance of clean and beautiful skin. If your skin is dehydrated, it will look dull which is why it is important to drink enough fluids.

6. Eat a balanced diet

The skin, as with our general health, is a reflection of our food and diet, so it is recommended that you include foods from all the groups in your diet and consume them in the right portions. Fruits and vegetables are also rich in vitamins and minerals that nourish our skin and body. Try to choose whole grains, and avoid processed foods and foods high in simple sugars .

7. Use glasses if necessary

Prescription glasses are indispensable if you need them, otherwise, to strain your eyes to see can also cause the appearance of early wrinkles around the eyes. The skin around the eyes is very delicate and sensitive and it is here where the first lines of expression appear as a result of repetitive muscle contractions.

8. Avoid stress

Due to continuous stress, we can make faces that involve clenching, frowning and wrinkling our nose, among other gestures that eventually can contribute to the appearance of wrinkles. It is important to have some measures or mechanisms to help you overcome the stress of everyday life. Try to consciously relax your facial muscles.

9. Sleep on your back

When you sleep, try to avoid sleeping on your stomach, as over time, the trauma may contribute to wrinkles and changes in your face which can be avoided if you can become accustomed to sleeping on your back.

10. Cosmetic use of good quality

Although they are a bit more expensive, quality is very important when it comes to a product that you use on your skin so try using good makeup and accessories, as these tend to be less aggressive on the skin. If you have any questions about what kind or makeup brand is best for you, resort to a dermatologist for advice.

I think that the wrinkles are marks that most of the time you cannot avoid, I mean, you cannot avoid showing yourself old if you have had a long life, you can have a nice skin even though your age, and maybe those small wrinkles look good too if you are very healthy in all the aspects.

Think about the health before thinking on anything else, and if you have this thinking in your mind, believe that if you eat the right foods and you take care of your skin as you feel, it will feel loved and more, and then will be radiant and soft, believe me, first keep the thinking in the mind and then acting to reach that

Having wrinkles is something that not only affects women but men who enjoy being heatlhy and young, wrinkles appear as a sign that you are getting older and just like the other person said, you cannot avoid this but you can fix them, and I have known people that are pretty old but they do not have a single wrinkle in their face, and then you see that this is just a matter of the body you have and how you take care of it

I’m just about at that age where I’m starting to think of wrinkle prevention for the first time ever. I’m turning 28 soon, and starting to notice that my skin is now a little drier than when I was growing up. I don’t have any wrinkles yet, and my skin is looking much better than when Iwas a teenager (acne), but I’ll give your remedies a try!

Although I don’t currently have wrinkles, nor am I of an age where they will soon be appearing, I actually have no issue with wrinkles or “aged” looking skin. This is a mark of natural beauty and old people without wrinkles tend to look a little on the odd side, don’t you think? Making sure you keep hydrated and eat well is possibly the best advice to maintain healthy looking skin, but no amount of lotions, potions or strange foods is going to prevent the inevitable marks of age appearing on your face.
