How to cure Hemorrhoids

The main reason that 50% of the world population suffers from hemorrhoids has to do directly with incorrect diet and lifestyle, no exercise or physical exertion.

If you are a patient with hemorrhoids, you should know that you won’t resolve your condition with creams, medicines or home remedies. Even though these are good to help in treatment, it is essential that you include healthy eating habits.

The Fiber in first place

In this case, the fiber is the main food you should include in all meals. It is the key to avoid that annoying constipation, that later generates hemorrhoids. It can be found in wheat bran, apples, peaches, broccoli, carrots, among others.

Of course, you should avoid changing your diet suddenly, from one day to another, you must do it gradually, in this way you will prevent the problem from getting worse or that present constant stomach pain. Also you should increase your intake of water for at least eight glasses a day.

The fiber will make the stool softer and thus, more easily to pass through the anal canal during bowel movements, this disappears pressure and constipation, the major factors in the development of hemorrhoids. Water consumption will also act as a softener while you keep hydrated.

Fruits and vegetables

Little by little you have to gradually introduce fruit in your daily diet, reaching even to four units a day; the same with the vegetables, the most recommended for its high fiber content are figs, oranges, plums, pears, apples, peaches, carrots, cauliflower and spinach.

Wheat bran

Specialists recommend daily wheat bran consumption; it should become the most valued by patients with constipation and hemorrhoids. You can eat it on your juices at breakfast, your milk, fruit salad, and even in your soups and stews.

Other cereals that you enter in your diet are rice, corn, oats, and wheat bread.

Vegetables

The most important because of the fiber are lentils, peas, beans, chickpeas and soy beans.

Foods you should avoid

These are the foods to avoid since they aggravate your hemorrhoids:

  • Meat in excess
  • Grain cereals such as flour, cakes, cookies, white rice, white bread, etc.
  • Products that contain refined sugars
  • Spicy products
  • Foods with too much salt, you should reduce the consumption of olives, salted sardines, mackerel, anchovies, etc.
  • You must not abuse the consumption of coffee and it is preferable to completely avoid alcoholic beverages, as well as cigarettes.

Exercise

Physical activity prevents constipation and improves circulation, avoiding the accumulation of venous blood in the legs and preventing hemorrhoids. Go for a run or a jog for at least 4 times a week or daily for 20 minutes. If you cannot run, do long walks to maintain and improve your metabolism.

We need to avoid sitting all day, if you have a job that requires that you sit in front of a computer, try to get up and walk around every hour and try to lie a side when sleeping to avoid pressure in the anal canal.

Lifting heavy things is another factor that brings up this problem. If you lift heavy things, try to exhale as you lift, and inhale when lowering the heavy object.

Home Remedies

As mentioned at the beginning, the use of creams, ointments and remedies should be a followed by a good diet. Here are some recipes that you can prepare at home that reduce inflammation and relieve the affected area.

Marigold extract

Mix calendula extract in a base of olive oil and apply on the hemorrhoids. The extract is a natural anti-inflammatory product and helps cool and soothe the burning of hemorrhoids.

Aloe Vera

Apply the pulp of aloe vera directly on the hemorrhoids, especially after using the bathroom.

Tomato poultice

Cut a cold tomato slice and pressure on hemorrhoids. The more mature the better. To do this, you can sit or lie on top of the tomato.

Sitz baths

Make sitz baths with cold water for a couple of minutes to relieve pain. This occurs because the cold has a certain analgesic effect. The washings should be performed preferably in the morning, every day.

If you already have an anal prolapse that bothers you or it’s bleeding, see a specialist for an evaluation.

I had no idea that many people suffered from hemorrhoids!!! That's so many! I've never had them, but they just sound so uncomfortable, and I would be afraid by insides were coming out! I too am glad that you've written this article: maybe I can avoid ever getting them. I already exercise a lot, but I'll look into the marigold and aloe vera extract.

It?s good to know this kind of information to avoid having unnecessarily and awful problems. I do not have hemorrhoids but maybe I should try some of the remedies for prevention and the diet as well.
