Sinusitis is a condition that results from inflammation of the sinuses, hollow cavities within the cheek bones that are located around and behind the nose. Sinusitis can be acute or chronic, and if not given care and effective treatment can take either months, years or become chronic.

The symptoms

The most common symptoms of sinusitis are: headache, constant sinus mucus secretion, red nose, fever, bad breath, fatigue, pain in different parts of the face like eyes, teeth, etc., sometimes there is cough and malaise, or pain when chewing.

Not Allowed Foods

Hey thanks for the wonderful information. I've dealt with sinusitis off and on for years now, and it's wonderful to think of re-gaining control based on diet and natural remedies. I just hate taking antibiotics, and some of them have really severe, scary side-effects. One time I took an antibiotic that left my skin so dry that my hands cracked and bled!

I HAVE HAD THIS ILLNESS FOR SEVERAL TIME NOW AND I CANNOT FIND THE SOLUTION, ONE GOOD POINT OF FINDING THESE ARTICLES IS THAT I UNDERSTOOD THAT MILK CAN REALLY DAMAGE THE PROCESS OF RESPIRATION TOO, NOT ONLY DIGESTION, SO WHEN I STOPPED DRINKING LACTOSE, MY PROBLEM BECAME JUST MILD, BUT STILL PERSISTENT, SO I HOPE THE REST OF THE REMEDIES CAN ALLEVIATE ME

Respiratory conditions can really affect any person especially kids and it?s hard for them so I think the best thing is to prevent these diseases by having a proper diet and activities like jogging or playing outside, which makes us stronger and our body is more resistant to these kind of conditions

My question is about the sinusitis. I eat oatmeal cook with some raisins and some honey for my breakfast. I also have a cup of coffee with little soy millk. After reading you5r article, seems that I am aggravating my sinusitis with my daily breakfast.
I wonder what other kind of food I have to avoid to control my sinusitis.
I will appreciate your advise.
